Bunyola and Alqueria

The town of Bunyola lies some seven miles inland from Puerto de Soller. From the town the walk passes the farm at S'Alqueria (was there ever a dog in the kennel?) and climbs steadily uphill to a col where a path leads to the summit of Alqueria where there is a mirador erected in memory of Leandro Ximenis, a well known Mallorcan mountaineer. From the col the walk then goes to the Pas de Sa Fesa, a narrow cleft in the cliffs. From the gorge the walk passes through woodland, orange and olive groves back to Bunyola.
