Herdus gill

Our route up Great Borne was up the true left side of Herdus Gill, which can be seen falling steeply down the ravine in the top left of the image.

Fox trap

On the slopes of the gill is an ancient fox trap - there wasn't one in it today!

The heather is in bloom by the side of the gill.
