Part 1

Its dull and hazy as we leave Howtown watched by the lambs with Hallin Fell behind.

'Raven' is making its morning run up the lake to Pooley Bridge.

The cairn below the summit of Arthur's Pike overlooking Ullswater.

By the ruined sheepfold in the dip between Arthur's Pike and Bonscale Pike.

On Bonscale Pike...

....and again.

The wide expanse of the summit of Loadpot Hill.

The collapsed chimney of the former hunting shelter on Loadpot Hill. When Wainwright passed this way it looked like this:

but it fell down in 1973.

The sun is shining brightly as we reach the top of Wether Hill.

We dropped down the grooves on the flank of Wether Hill to the head of Fusedale.
