The Hertfordshire Way

Stage 10: Cuffley to Hertford continued

Stratton's Observatory is a landmark in Little Berkhamsted. It was built in 1789 as a folly in the form of a five storey tower by retired admiral John Stratton.

Between Little Berkhamsted and Bayford we enter Bayford Wood.

One of the big houses in Bayford.

Bayford is well known for its gardens. Bluetiger is waiting for our botantical adviser to remember the name of this shrub.

Daffodils everywhere of course.

Between Bayford and Hertford, big fields and big skies.
