LATRIGG - 18 April 2005
We started our brief walk up Latrigg from the parking space at the top of the Millbeck road. The 'tourist route' up Skiddaw starts over this stile.
The view to Great Mellfell, and a hint of a rainbow. It's going to rain on us soon.
The sheep enjoy the new grass and what remains of the sun on the lower slopes of Skiddaw, but the higher slopes have already disappeared into the murk.
A tree, the sheep, and that rainbow again.
Oh well, we might as well get wet. Two wheatears landed on the wall beyond the gate as we walked past.
On top, and the weather has really deteriorated. Catbells is just visible beyond Keswick and Derwentwater.
