LING AND SALE FELL ABOVE WYTHOP    6 December 2004

The starting point of the walk - Brumston Bridge below Eskin

The top of Ling Fell looking to Sale Fell. So dull the camera flash went off in the middle of the day!

We went over Burthwaite Heights and on to Lothwaite, where from the grassy top there is a lovely view over Bassenthwaite Lake to the Skiddaw massif.

It was blowing a gale, so we sheltered in the forestry plantation for lunch, with this view over to Barf and Lord's Seat.

Very difficult to stand up on Sale Fell
