STUBAITAL: SCENES AROUND TELFES
Telfes is one of the traditional farming villages in the Stubai valley, although nowadays some of the people who live there are commuters to Innsbruck which is 20k away. Nonetheless, out of the skiing season it is a very peaceful location (except when the local brass band plays on a Tuesday night!)

The village is a centre for mountain biking - here one rider obviously miscalculated his des descent down the mountain!

An old mountain tram line runs from Innsbruck to Fulpmes, the next village to Telfes and the largest in the valley.
