WHITESIDE and GRASMOOR - 22 April 2005
Part 1

Whiteside from Lanthwaite Common.

Gasgale Gill and the footbridge giving access to Whin Ben.

Looking downstream to the hills above Loweswater.

Above Whin Ben the path climbs to the top of Whiteside.

The summit of Whiteside. The high point on the ridge in the middle distance - Whiteside East Top - is actually a little higher and a separate English 2000' top in its own right as there is more than 50' of intervening ascent and descent.

The ridge over the East Top to Hopegill Head.

After going over a windy Hopegill Head we drop the stony slope of Sand Hill to Coledale Hause with Eel Crags ahead.
A small tarn (perhaps a large puddle?) on the Hause.

BLUETIGER's boots in the summit shelter of Grasmoor.
